Summary
The Production Inspector is a member of the Quality Assurance Department. The Production Inspector plans and performs a sequence of operations, where standards or recognized operation methods are available and the making of general decisions as to quality and tolerances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promotes the Company’s mission and values-based culture through ensuring quality standards are met.
Reading, interpreting and applying inspection procedures, drawings and similar documents.
Using measuring and gauges to determine product conformance.
Inspects in one area, as required.
Creates and maintains necessary inspection records.
Obey safely rules at all times and report any unsafe acts or conditions.
Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Must have a minimum high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
Travel
Travel not required.
Language Skills
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as well as ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure.
Reasoning Ability
Must have the ability to define quality inspections
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the Report Manager and Microsoft Office.
Other Skills
The ability to interpret blueprints, installation sheets and statistical analysis.
Proficient in the use of material handling equipment.
Capable of working with little or no supervision.
Able to use various test and measuring equipment, I.E. Tape measure, micrometers, calipers.
Familiar with different types of raw materials, welds and surface finishes.
