Job Description
The Process Quality Engineering (PQE) Manager will lead a team of Process Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians, driving process capability, product quality, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations from SMT to Packing.
The role is responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are robust, statistically controlled, compliant with quality standards, and capable of meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the PQE team; set KPIs and performance expectations.
- Own quality performance across manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure process capability targets such as Cpk/Ppk are achieved.
- Oversee process validation, IQ/OQ/PQ, control plans, SPC, PFMEA, and MSA.
- Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and implement effective corrective actions and Poka-Yoke.
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Customer Quality, and suppliers to support NPI and Mass Production.
- Prepare quality reports for management and customers.
- Support Quality System, Process, and Product Audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related fields.
- 7+ years of experience in Process Engineering or Quality Engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership/management role.
- Strong knowledge of SPC, PFMEA, MSA, 8D, DOE, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to SMT and production processes.
- Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO, GMP, etc.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of English and ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
