QA Architect in Glasgow, UK::3 months FTC::Hybrid model
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a QA Architect (9-12 years overall experience) who can assess existing quality assurance practices and define a modern, scalable QA operating model aligned to agile and product-centric delivery. The ideal candidate will drive improvements across the SDLC to enable higher quality, faster feedback cycles, and predictable delivery outcomes. This role requires strong analytical and design capabilities, the ability to influence cross-functional teams, and a clear focus on embedding quality as a shared responsibility across product, engineering, and delivery teams.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience as a QA Architect or Test Transformation Lead within complex enterprise delivery environments.
- Deep knowledge of QA processes, testing strategies, automation frameworks, and quality governance models.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing test frameworks covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing.
- Experience enabling QA within agile, DevOps, and CI/CD delivery models, including test automation, test data, environments, and reporting.
- Establishing quality governance models, standards, and KPIs
- Design of scalable, reusable test architectures across portfolios and platforms
Process Skills:
- Assess current QA processes, tools, and test execution models to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Define a future-state QA operating model that supports agile ways of working and product-centric delivery.
- Identify gaps in test strategy, automation coverage, environments, and quality governance and recommend remediation actions.
- Establish quality metrics, standards, governance, and continuous improvement practices across teams and programs.
- Clearly articulate expected benefits such as improved product quality, faster release cycles, reduced defect leakage, and improved business confidence.
