About The Role
We are looking for a passionate QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and REST API Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.
This role offers an opportunity to work with modern automation tools, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks.
- Create reusable and maintainable automation scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber (BDD).
- Develop automated test suites for REST APIs using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
- Execute automated regression, smoke, integration, and functional test suites.
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Identify, track, and report software defects while ensuring timely resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and defect triage.
- Improve automation framework performance, maintainability, and test coverage.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline (BE/BTech/ME/MTech).
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
- Experience building scalable automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM) and reusable design patterns.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of shift-left testing practices.
- Experience working with cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with performance and integration testing.
- Exposure to AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot.
