THE ROLE & TEAM
As a QA Engineer, you will be part of our QA team with the mission to ensure that our software platform meets our high standards for quality, performance, and usability. The QA team is integrated into the entire product development lifecycle, from requirement refinement, development, testing, and verification to final deployment in a DevOps-driven environment.
We tailor our agile product development methodology to fit the needs of a modern IoT operator, ensuring that product requirements are aligned with both business needs and network operations. As part of the QA team, you will be in the middle of this process, collaborating with developers and stakeholders across Gothenburg and our team in the USA (Portsmouth).
Your responsibilities will include:
Establishing and improving test processes for our IoT platform.
Developing test plans and strategies to enhance quality at early development stages.
Automating testing processes, particularly for API testing, data flows, and system verification.
Ensuring that infrastructure and security solutions are robust and optimized.
Testing and validating gateways, customer-facing interfaces, and software integrations.
Analyzing incoming and outgoing data decoding to ensure system reliability.
Collaborating with development teams in Sweden and the USA to enhance DevOps and QA workflows.
While the role includes manual testing to gain a deep understanding of the product, test automation is a key focus area. ¨
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have a technical background in software development, automation, or IT and an understanding of DevEx (Developer Experience). You know what developers need to work efficiently and can establish QA processes that improve quality and collaboration.
Education & Experience:
University degree in Software Engineering, IT, Electronics, or Automation.
Experience in test case specification and test automation development.
Hands-on experience in software verification and testing of microservice-based systems.
Technical Skills & Tools:
Programming: Python 3, JavaScript. Bash.
Basic knowledge of C.
Test Automation: Selenium, Robot Framework, Jenkins.
Version Control & Issue Tracking: Git, GitHub, Jira.
Networking & Security: IP Networks, VPN, SSH.
Environments: Linux & Windows, Dockers, Kubernetes, AWS cloud.
Message Brokers: MQTT, Pulsar.
