Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Production Checks:

Collaborate with the design, production, and merchandising teams to review technical packs, patterns, and specifications.

Ensure fabric, trims, and other raw materials meet quality standards before production begins.

Evaluate samples for adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.

2. Production Process Monitoring:

Establish and enforce quality control procedures at every stage of the production process.

Conduct in-line inspections during cutting, stitching, and finishing to detect and address defects early.

Monitor operator techniques and machinery settings to ensure consistency and precision in production.

3. Final Product Inspection:

Perform detailed inspections on finished garments to check for stitching, measurements, color consistency, and other quality parameters.

Ensure garments comply with quality standards like AQL (Acceptable Quality Level).

4. Problem Identification & Troubleshooting:

Identify recurring defects or quality issues during production and implement immediate corrective actions.

Work closely with production supervisors and technicians to resolve issues related to machine settings, fabric faults, or human error.

5. Process Improvement:

Analyze defect data and propose continuous improvements in processes to minimize future quality issues.

Collaborate with the production team to improve manufacturing techniques and reduce wastage.

6. Compliance & Documentation:

Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Maintain detailed records of inspections, quality control reports, and corrective action plans.

Qualification, Skills & Technical Expertise:

Preferred Bachelors degree in Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, or related field.

2 – 7 years of experience in quality assurance, specifically within the fashion and apparel industry.

Fabric Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabric types, their behavior during production, and how to handle them to avoid quality issues.

Pattern & Garment Construction: In-depth knowledge of garment patterns, stitching techniques, and construction to detect potential quality flaws early.

Quality Standards: Familiarity with international and local quality standards, including AQL levels and compliance requirements.

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues in the production line and provide technical solutions to mitigate them.

Attention to Detail: Keen eye for details to spot defects that might be missed in bulk production.

Communication: Clear communication skills to effectively coordinate with production teams, suppliers, and management.
