Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality control within a dental or medical setting, demonstrating expertise in various technical skills. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our products and services, ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Complex case management
Quality Control Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards.
Conduct regular inspections and testing of dental products to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
Identify and address any quality issues or non-conformances in the production process.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all products comply with industry regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
Keep up-to-date with changes in industry standards and regulations and implement necessary changes in the QC processes.
Maintain detailed records of quality control processes, inspections, and test results.
Training and Development:
Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
Develop training materials and conduct regular training sessions.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the laboratory.
Audits and Reporting:
Conduct internal audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Prepare and present regular quality control reports to management.
Coordinate and prepare for external audits and inspections.
Problem Solving and Improvement:
Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints related to product quality.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality problems.
Work with production teams to improve processes and enhance product quality.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of quality control procedures, inspections, and test results.
Ensure all quality control documentation is properly stored and easily accessible for audits and inspections.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Dental Technology, Quality Assurance, Biology, Medical Technology).
Proven experience in a quality control role, preferably within a dental or medical environment.
Strong knowledge of occlusion philosophy
Expert knowledge in all aspects of denture and hybrid fabrication including setting teeth, waxing, finishing, processing and digital design.
Strong knowledge of dental laboratory procedures and materials.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train and mentor staff on quality control practices.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $89,000.00 per year
