Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in the Banking/Financial Services domain to lead end-to-end quality assurance initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive test strategy, lead QA teams, and ensure high-quality delivery across complex enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QA lifecycle including test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios
- Design and implement automation frameworks and strategies
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and quality standards
- Mentor and guide QA team members; conduct code reviews and QA audits
- Track defects, manage risk, and provide quality metrics and reporting to stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- At Least 10 years of experience in Software Testing / QA, with at least 2 years in a Lead role.
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in Banking Domain (Retail, Payments, Lending, Capital Markets, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured)
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, TestRail)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and backend validation
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Knowledge of data testing / ETL validation
- Prior experience working with Canadian banking clients
