Your Job
Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Company, is looking for a QA/QC Specialist to join the team. The QA/QC Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects adhere to company and industry standards. Responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, creating project-specific documents, and collaborating with various teams to uphold the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong background in quality assurance and control in the engineering or construction industry.
This role will sit in office Monday – Friday at our headquarters in Katy, TX.

What You Will Do
Analyze and review project specifications to ensure compliance with standards. Identify discrepancies and communicate these to relevant teams.
Develop and maintain project-specific quality assurance and control documents, including inspection test plans and quality control plans.
Implement QA procedures across all project phases and recommend improvements.
Support QC field operations with welder testing, records, CMS, etc.
Work closely with project teams to ensure QA/QC standards are understood and followed.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and client specifications.
Prepare and present QA/QC reports to management and clients, highlighting findings and corrective actions.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to improve QA/QC processes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Experience in QA/QC within engineering or construction industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of standards like ASME B31.3, ASME Section V, IX, API 1104.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
What Will Put You Ahead
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ CQE) is a plus.
