Our client, a leading, employee-owned mechanical contractor, is seeking a QA/QC Superintendent to support quality assurance and control efforts across commercial and mission-critical construction projects.
This role plays a key part in ensuring all installations meet project specifications, quality standards, and performance expectations, while partnering closely with field and project teams to drive consistency and continuous improvement from start to finish.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform quality assurance and quality control activities across assigned job sites, including inspections, quality walks, and punch list management
- Verify installations align with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Coordinate and observe system testing to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Collaborate with field and office teams to proactively identify and prevent quality issues
- Collect, track, and analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Support commissioning efforts by preparing systems and coordinating on-site activities
- Provide recommendations to project teams based on best practices and field observations
- Participate in planning efforts, including pre-installation meetings, coordination, and material management strategies
- Drive process improvements by promoting Lean practices and helping reduce rework and inefficiencies
- Conduct root cause analysis on quality issues and support implementation of corrective actions
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of QA/QC experience within commercial mechanical or plumbing construction
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, inspection processes, and field execution
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and installation requirements
- Experience with system testing, commissioning support, and punch list management
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret quality data
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across field and office teams
- Familiarity with Lean practices, process improvement, or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus
- High school diploma or GED required, additional education in a related field preferred
