Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Technical Assistant to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will support quality assurance and quality control processes across production lines, ensuring products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting quality audits and inspections throughout the production process to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Collect, document, and analyze data related to product quality, process performance, and inspection results to identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Participate in routine quality control checks, including visual inspections, sampling, and testing of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
  • Assist with preparing reports on audit findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions to support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring all documentation aligns with regulatory/legal standards in production environments.
  • Creating Material Deviation Notices (MDNs) and tracking through completion.
  • Filing and logging of completed MDNs.
  • Review of completed travelers for proper signatures and report/document/researchdiscrepancies.
  • Checking for MDN closures prior to final approval and shipping preparations.
  • Creating Certificates of Conformance for outgoing products.
  • Creating labels/tags for nonconforming materials and for preparing products forshipment.
  • Reviewing Certificates and conformity of Incoming Materials.
  • Other various tasks, as needed by the QA Manager and QA Inspection Team
  • Assist with maintaining Calibrations and Filing of Certificates.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality assurance or quality control is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality audits, inspection techniques, and quality standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for data collection, analysis, and reporting purposes.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with excellent analysis skills to interpret data accurately and identify issues proactively.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures precisely while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced setting.
  • Prior experience working within regulated environments that require strict adherence to regulatory compliance standards is advantageous.

Job Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Be able to work in an ISO 9001-AS9100 Quality environment (must be process-driven)
  • Willing to work minimal overtime and weekends, as required.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Must show evidence of the following upon completion of the 90-day Evaluationand Annual Evaluations by QA Manager:

  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and following procedures.
  • Possesses the ability to work independently with minimal direction/instruction.
  • Highly motivated to support the team with whatever is needed to achieve thecompany’s Quality Objectives.
