QA Technician (2nd Shift) Jobs in Owasso, OK at National Steak Processors
Position Mission: To continuously strive to improve the quality of the program and the quality of the product we provide to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily functions of the lab, monitoring the Raw mill, Kiln, and Finish mill for quality compliance.
Ensure departmental knowledge is up-to-date by providing technical expertise regarding equipment malfunctions and providing referential information and training.
Preparing and sending out daily and weekly reports, as well as providing any requested data or samples.
Training staff on various tests and ensuring ASTM compliance.
Procuring supplies and maintaining inventory. Keeping all equipment calibrated promptly and scheduling outside vendors for on-site calibrations.
Monitor test results and data for completeness and accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A high school diploma or GED is required.
An associate’s degree in a vocational or technical area is preferred.
5 years to learn equipment and ASTM procedures.
5 years in cement to understand the chemistry.
2 years of experience as an analytical tester, 2 years as a physical tester, and one year as a lab lead.
Work Environment:
Plant 100% of the time. Extreme heat, cold, noise, vibrations, and dust.
Light work usually requires sitting at a desk; however, there are occasional instances where buckets of cement must be carried up and down two flights of stairs. Medium | Up to 50 lbs
