What to Expect
Tesla Gigafactory New York is looking for an Associate Manager to lead and manage the Quality Operations team of Supervisors, Technicians and inspectors. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall effective planning, staffing, training, deployment, and management of the quality operations organization in Gigafactory New York to ensure that the quality objectives established by management, regulatory programs and project plans are met. In addition, the expectation is that you will work collaboratively with other cross functional business leaders to drive and implement high level objectives for Gigafactory New York.

What You’ll Do
Build a strong, motivated Quality Operations team capable of consistently delivering high-quality performance as well as ability to lead a large team with the level of agility to quickly pivot business priorities based on production needs

Ensure sufficient coverage of competent, trained staff to support all Quality and Production targets in all Gigafactory New York manufacturing operations
Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability as well as empower the Quality Operations team to collaborate with Quality Engineering team to improve product quality, product manufacturability and line productivity

Ensure Quality Operations teams receive effective training and workforce development

Support issue resolution including root cause investigation and an environment of continuous learning and improvement

Work with other cross functional business leaders to drive and execute high level site objectives as well as train and develop supervisory team using individual development plan techniques
Ensure Quality Operations teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas

What You’ll Bring
3+ year experience managing teams of people in high volume manufacturing setting

Degree in Business or Technical discipline, or evidence of exceptional experience
Demonstrated ability to support Quality problem identification, prioritization, and resolution

Ability to work with and develop Quality performance metrics as well as able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines

Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills

Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail

Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Expected Compensation

Supervisor QA Engineering – $81,600 – $122,400/annual salary
Associate Mgr QA Engineering – $98,600 – $147,900/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
