Baugher Ranch Organics is looking for a hands-on Quality Analyst to support quality and food safety throughout our almond processing operation in Orland, California. You will inspect and grade product, collect and review quality data, document food-safety checks, and communicate concerns before they become bigger problems.
This is a good fit for someone who is observant, organized, comfortable working on the production floor, and takes pride in getting the details right.
What you will do
· Inspect and grade almonds and perform routine product analysis.
· Collect and review quality data to identify deviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Verify that products and processes meet company procedures, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
· Document critical control points, process checks, laboratory submissions, and other monitoring activities.
· Maintain accurate records in Nutware, Paperless, Microsoft Excel, and required forms.
· Probe and pull USDA samples in support of receiving activities.
· Communicate quality or performance concerns to management.
· Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and complete assigned cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
What you bring
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Two or more years of tree nut quality experience preferred.
· Understanding of USDA almond grades and standard defect categories is preferred.
· Basic computer skills and the ability to learn Nutware, Paperless, and laboratory equipment.
· Strong organization, time management, teamwork, and documentation skills.
What to expect
This is an on-site manufacturing role that combines product grading and computer work with frequent standing, walking, handling, bending, and sanitation duties. The work environment may be noisy and may range from below 40°F to above 95°F. Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of 26-50 pounds may be required. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed based on operational demands.
