About the Role

The Quality Control Analyst will support OEM customers, particularly the VAG Group, throughout product and process development. The role focuses on quality management, customer audits, complaints handling, failure analysis, corrective actions, process audits, and FMEA coordination within automotive projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a quality contact for customers during product and process development.
  • Participate in product and process development project teams.
  • Prepare initial sample inspection reports according to VDA and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Prepare and lead customer audits together with project managers.
  • Support customer process approvals during new product launches.
  • Handle external complaints and customer returns.
  • Manage customer complaints using the 8D methodology.
  • Conduct and coordinate rework and sorting activities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis using 5 Why, Ishikawa, and other quality methods.
  • Initiate and monitor corrective actions for products and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct planned and unplanned process audits according to VDA 6.3.
  • Review and manage customer warranty and 0-km claims.
  • Negotiate warranty recognition rates with customers.
  • Obtain customer approval for product or process deviations and changes.
  • Create and maintain quality information and documentation.
  • Prepare, moderate, document, and maintain FMEA sessions using APIS-FMEA.
  • Track FMEA actions and support FMEA teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • Technician qualification or equivalent education may also be considered.
  • Several years of professional experience in the automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality management requirements.
  • Strong analytical and process-oriented approach.
  • High level of independence and commitment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and assertiveness.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
  • Good written and spoken English.

Qualifications

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Knowledge of VDA and IATF 16949.
  • Experience with customer audits and process approvals.
  • Experience handling automotive customer complaints.
  • Knowledge of 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and other quality methodologies.
  • Experience with VDA 6.3 process audits.
  • FMEA moderation and documentation experience.
  • Familiarity with APIS-FMEA.
