As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving supplier performance to meet company, customer, and regulatory standards. You will be instrumental in driving our Supplier Quality process transformation as we continue as a world leader in the design and development of cutting-edge automation and control systems for Aerospace, Life Science, and Nuclear markets.

Success Criteria

You bring strong expertise in supplier quality and supplier development with the ability to evaluate suppliers and collaborate to drive continuous improvement in both supplier and internal processes ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

Your ability to assess suppliers, evaluate supplier non-conformance data, lead corrective actions, and minimize supply chain disruptions sets you apart. You innately value data-based decision making by analyzing supplier performance metrics and trends and have the ability to get to root causes and implement improvement plans. We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $90,000 – 110,000 annually.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or a similar role in a highly compliance critical, supplier dependent environment.
Expertise in multiple manufacturing processes is preferred including fabrication & machining, plating, and electrical/electronic components.
Experience developing and improving supplier and internal quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, NQA-1).
Demonstrated effectiveness in direct engagement with and guidance of suppliers while partnering with cross functional internal roles.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality techniques
Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and FMEA
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills at all levels within supplier and internal structures
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency in quality related software and tools
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certifications are preferred
Primarily office based with regular travel to supplier sites (domestic and infrequently, international). Travel of 10%-15%, primarily local but occasionally overnight is typically expected with up to 25% for rare unique project/supplier work.
Ability to safely work in manufacturing environments, including exposure to machinery, noise, and variable temperatures
