Our client is looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to take their automation testing skills to the next level, with a focus on API testing and core Java programming. If you’re ready to write automation scripts and get hands-on with test development, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Write and execute automation scripts, with a focus on API testing, to ensure high-quality software releases.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to define and implement automated test cases.
Write tests using core Java programming skills – no need for complex coding, but you should have a solid understanding of basic Java programming principles.
Focus on hands-on test development rather than just test execution.
Work with test frameworks and ensure that automated tests integrate smoothly with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
Participate in regression testing, ensuring that releases move smoothly through different environments before deployment.
Identify gaps in testing coverage and work with the team to fill them.
Maintain and improve automation scripts to optimize test effectiveness and efficiency.
Report defects and track progress using project management and test management tools.
What We’re Looking For:
Solid understanding of core Java programming, with the ability to write basic automation scripts.
Experience with API testing and automation (hands-on, not just execution).
Knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks (experience with tools like Selenium, Rest Assured, or similar is a plus).
Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an agile team environment.
Ability to quickly learn and apply new software and technologies.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
Ideal Candidate:
A recent graduate or someone with a few years of experience in QA automation.
Strong understanding of test automation principles from what you’ve learned in college.
Comfortable writing simple automation scripts and working with core Java.
A collaborative team player with a keen eye for quality and a desire to continuously improve testing practices.
