Overview:
We’re looking for a highly motivated Test Automation Engineer to join a lean team building greenfield platforms supporting fraud and identity (IAM) capabilities. This team is developing a new ecosystem of applications from the ground up, so success in this role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and drives quality end-to-end—not just executes test cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end quality across applications—not just functional testing
- Design, build, and evolve automation frameworks across web, mobile, and APIs
- Validate both functional and non-functional requirements (performance, resiliency, scalability, etc.)
- Partner closely with engineering and SRE teams to validate:
- Application performance and availability
- Logging/monitoring (e.g., CloudWatch)
- Data pipelines and system health
- Test across distributed systems including:
- Event-driven architectures
- APIs and backend services
- Contribute to test strategy, planning, and execution approach (not just execution)
- Support production readiness efforts (dry runs, validations, launch readiness)
- Actively identify gaps, risks, and improvement areas in quality processes
What We’re Looking For (Core Skills):
- Strong experience in test automation (must-have)
- Experience testing across:
- Web + mobile applications
- APIs / backend systems
- Familiarity with common frameworks/tools (flexible):
- Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, or similar
- Experience working in cloud environments (AWS strongly preferred):
- Ability to inspect applications, logs, and infrastructure
- Exposure to event-driven or distributed systems is a plus
- Understanding of non-functional testing:
- Performance, resilience, failover, scalability
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Node.js (frontend/backend ecosystems)
- Exposure to Python-based platforms
- Experience with data pipelines / streaming (Kafka, ingestion frameworks, etc.)
- Early exposure or interest in AI-driven testing / automation

- Has a continuous learning mindset, especially around:
- AI in testing
- Evolving automation practices
Team / Environment:
- Small, highly collaborative team (this hire will be ~3rd QA resource)
- Supporting:
- Fraud Data Platform (event-driven, backend-heavy)
- Identity/Shield Platform (web/mobile + API)
- Working in a fast-paced build phase with Q3 delivery targets
- Heavy focus on greenfield development and platform engineering
