About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer – Full Stack (FE/BE) to build and own the functional quality strategy across a modern AI-powered platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in end-to-end automation, API testing, integration and contract testing, and CI/CD quality gates.
You will work closely with frontend, backend, and AI engineering teams to develop scalable test automation frameworks, ensure application stability, and build resilient testing pipelines for complex multi-service workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the functional QA strategy across frontend and backend applications.
- Develop and maintain automated End-to-End test suites using Playwright (preferred) or Cypress.
- Build API, integration, and contract test automation.
- Create automated testing pipelines for multi-step workflows and complex business processes.
- Perform API validation for backend services and event-driven systems.
- Develop deterministic test data, fixtures, and reusable test utilities.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve regression coverage while reducing flaky tests.
- Execute resilience testing including backend failures, stale data, and recovery scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability and product quality.
- Perform defect analysis, root cause investigation, and quality reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation / SDET.
- Strong experience in web application testing across frontend and backend.
- Expertise in E2E automation using Playwright (preferred) or Cypress.
- Strong API testing experience using REST APIs.
- Experience with integration and contract testing.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with pytest or similar automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience creating reusable automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of regression testing strategies.
- Experience with test data management and automation utilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing event-driven or event-sourced systems.
- Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact.
- Familiarity with Server-Sent Events (SSE) or real-time applications.
- Experience testing enterprise integrations (SSO, third-party APIs).
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based applications.
- Understanding of handling non-deterministic workflows in automated testing.
