Quality Engineer/ON SITE
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our New Product Introductions team .
Responsibilities
– Develop and edit CMM programs using PC-DIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
– Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
– Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
– Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications/standards in accordance with customer requirements.
– Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
– Perform measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R to validate measurements.
– Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
– Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel
– Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
– Perform other duties as assigned.
-A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
– 3+ experience in CMM programming required
– Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
– Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
– Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
– Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
– Ability to perform well in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
– Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
– Ability to work, drive initiatives and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
– Must be a U.S. Citizen.
