Overview
Quality Assurance Engineer Jobs in India at Total AI Systems Inc.
Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Company: Total AI Systems Inc.
Location: India
Total AI Systems, Inc. is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer to own quality across our AI-powered SaaS platform serving the debt collection and receivables management industry.
This is not a ticket-closing role.
You will be responsible for manual testing across complex, compliance-driven workflows today and for building and owning our automated testing capability as we scale. You will think in edge cases before developers write a single line of code and you will own the quality bar from requirement review through production release. We operate in a fast-moving SaaS environment where bad releases have real consequences for enterprise customers.
We are not hiring someone who finds bugs after the fact and files tickets. We need someone who prevents them.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Review requirements, user stories, and technical specs to identify gaps, ambiguities, and untested edge cases before development begins
- Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data for manual and automated coverage
- Execute manual testing across web application workflows, including regression, exploratory, and UAT support
- Build, maintain, and expand automated test suites for functional, regression, and API testing
- Test REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools, validating request/response contracts, error handling, and edge cases
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, state transitions, and backend logic
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity classifications, and root cause context
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure defects are understood, resolved, and regression-covered
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews as an embedded QA voice in the engineering pod
- Continuously improve test coverage and QA processes
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in QA engineering with both manual and automation responsibilities
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent)
- Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or similar tools
- Proficiency in SQL—able to write queries to validate data states, transitions, and business logic
- Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (ClickUp or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum processes
- Experience writing structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Ability and willingness to work US business hours when needed
- High ownership mindset—you don’t wait to be assigned bugs, you go looking for them
Strongly Preferred
- Experience testing SaaS platforms or fintech / compliance-driven applications
- Familiarity with performance or load testing tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS architectures
- Understanding of how data flows between integrated systems and third-party APIs
What We Mean by “QA Ownership”
We’re looking for someone who:
- Reads the requirement and immediately thinks of the five ways it could break
- Thinks like an end user, a developer, and an attacker simultaneously
- Automates the repetitive so they can focus manual effort on the complex
- Understands the business impact of what they’re testing, not just the technical spec
- Pushes back on releasing when coverage isn’t sufficient—regardless of deadline pressure
- Writes bug reports that developers can act on without a follow-up conversation
What Success Looks Like
- Defects are caught in QA, not reported by customers
- Automated regression suites run on every release and catch regressions before deployment
- Developers trust the QA process and ship with confidence
- Edge cases and compliance scenarios are tested before anyone thinks to ask
- Release sign-offs are earned, not assumed
