About:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control across our construction projects in Jacksonville, FL. This role ensures compliance with all relevant codes, specifications, and project requirements by implementing and monitoring a comprehensive Quality Control Program. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to uphold standards from pre-installation through final inspection.
Responsibilities:
Review construction plans, specs, and documentation for quality compliance.
Lead pre-installation meetings to verify trade readiness.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met throughout construction.
Monitor the QA/QC program and recommend improvements.
Manage quality-specific RFIs, submittals, and contract documents.
Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with plans, submittals, and codes.
Track and document inspections, tests, deficiencies, and punch lists.
Lead QA/QC meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on issues.
Provide training on quality standards and safety regulations.
Identify and resolve quality or safety issues proactively.
Ensure delivered materials and equipment meet specification.
Maintain organized and accurate quality records.
Support additional duties aligned with project and team goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
1–3 years of relevant QA/QC or construction experience.
Knowledge of construction processes and inspection/testing protocols.
Familiar with ASTM, ANSI, ACI, and related standards.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) and PDF tools.
Ability to read construction drawings/specifications.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Team player with the ability to work independently.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred.
Experience in a similar QA/QC role in construction is a plus.
General understanding of civil, architectural, MEP systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
