Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Field Inspector – Construction Project Manager to oversee and ensure quality standards across all phases of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing on-site inspections, monitoring compliance with construction specifications, codes, and safety regulations, and managing quality control documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular field inspections to ensure work meets project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
Identify and report non-conforming work and collaborate with subcontractors and project teams to resolve issues promptly.
Manage and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection reports, testing records, and punch lists.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure proper execution and delivery of construction activities.
Support the development and implementation of QA/QC plans and processes.
Monitor construction progress to ensure schedules and budgets are met without compromising quality.
Provide detailed reports and updates to senior project management regarding quality performance and site status.
Conduct pre-construction and post-construction site walkthroughs and punch list verifications.
Ensure all construction activities comply with local and federal regulations, OSHA, and company policies.
Assist in the evaluation and approval of materials and workmanship.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in construction quality assurance, field inspection, or construction project management.
Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with QA/QC systems, inspection tools, and documentation practices.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
Working Conditions:
Frequent travel to construction sites.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
May require occasional weekend or evening work depending on project deadlines.
