Role Overview
As a QA Automation Lead, you will lead a team of QA engineers, drive automation strategy, and ensure high-quality software delivery through robust testing practices across UI, API, and integration layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring high performance and collaboration
- Assign, prioritize, and track testing tasks aligned with sprint and project timelines
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
- Review team deliverables, including test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to define test strategies
- Ensure strong test coverage across UI, API, and integration layers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute QA insights
- Troubleshoot automation issues and support the team in resolving technical challenges
- Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and QA processes
- Support CI/CD pipelines with automated test execution
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation
- Solid understanding of automation frameworks and design patterns
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Proven experience leading QA teams in Agile environments
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured
- Familiarity with JIRA or other defect tracking/test management tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
