THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced QA Lead to join our team.
You will be responsible for planning, managing, and executing QA activities, mentoring team members, driving quality improvements, and ensuring transparent reporting of testing progress and metrics.
Responsibilities
Test Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Lead the planning, creation, and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test cases for website applications.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage by analysing business requirements and technical specifications.
- Oversee functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities along with hands-on testing.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Manage and mentor the QA team, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Allocate tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of testing deliverables.
- Foster collaboration between QA, development, and business teams to resolve issues effectively.
Defect & Quality Management
- Oversee the defect lifecycle, ensuring proper logging, prioritization, and closure using organization standards & processes.
- Drive quality improvements and process enhancements identified in the project.
Reporting
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare QA metrics and progress updates to senior management.
Documentation
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Prepare test summary reports and metrics to track testing progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of QA experience, including at least 3 years website testing
- Hands-on experience with QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management tools.
- Hands-on experience with API Testing
- Proven experience in leading QA teams, managing workloads, and delivering on timelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Fluent and effective communication skills, capable of managing discussions with stakeholders and reporting to leadership.
- Nice to have: Automation experience.
