We are seeking an experienced and driven IT QA Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts across software, systems, and IT applications. This role will oversee the development and execution of manual testing strategies, manage a team of QA professionals, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, reliable IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, BAs) to define test plans, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
Oversee creation and execution of detailed test documentation including cases, scripts, and data.
Lead and mentor the QA team; provide coaching, career development, and performance feedback.
Drive manual testing efforts and track progress, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues.
Conduct defect root cause analysis and work with development teams to improve quality.
Continuously evaluate and optimize QA processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Champion QA best practices across Agile/Scrum development cycles.
Define and track KPIs such as defect rates, test coverage, and quality metrics.
Report regularly to leadership on testing status, risks, and overall software quality.
Serve as the primary liaison for QA within cross-functional project teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong expertise in SDLC, QA methodologies, manual testing, and root cause analysis.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Familiarity with tools like Jira, Microsoft Project, and QA metrics dashboards.
Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus.
PMP or similar certification is preferred.
