Position Overview:

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance within the company’s aerospace and defense manufacturing operations. You will lead a team of quality professionals, ensure compliance with industry standards, and drive continuous improvements in product quality and manufacturing processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that our products meet the strictest regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with aerospace and defense industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP).

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to support manufacturing operations.

Conduct regular audits, inspections, and assessments of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established quality standards.

Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.

Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and certifications for aerospace and defense manufacturing.

Prepare and present quality reports for senior management and clients, ensuring transparency and communication on quality issues and improvements.

Manage the development and implementation of training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills across the organization.

Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve non-conformances and quality incidents.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance within the aerospace or defense manufacturing industry.

In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), regulatory requirements, and standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP.

Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve quality objectives.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.

Experience with root cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other quality tools.

Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and quality management software is a plus.
