Full-Time Quality Assurance Scientist
A leading food company in Malvern has an opening for a Full-Time Quality Assurance Scientist. We seek an individual with 1-3 years of laboratory experience, though recent graduates with a BS in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Animal Science, Food Science, or a related field will be considered.

Job Duties:
Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological and chemical testing in a quality assurance lab.
Support senior scientists in daily lab priorities, ensuring product quality.
Maintain detailed records of observations, analyses, and results.
Follow established safety procedures and maintain confidentiality.
Prepare reports and collaborate with team members to meet project objectives.
Handle sample processing, labeling, and storage to maintain integrity.
Ensure proper equipment maintenance and workspace cleanliness.
Manage outside lab sampling shipments and schedules.
Participate in agricultural research, including hen care and facility maintenance.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in lab techniques such as pipetting, chromatography, titrations, and microbiological testing.
Understanding of Gram staining, plate counts, and aseptic techniques.
Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and good team collaboration skills.
Ability to follow strict procedures and communicate effectively.
Experience with lab instrumentation troubleshooting is a plus.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
1-3 years of lab experience (academic experience may be considered).
Familiarity with lab techniques, applications, and instrumentation.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Schedule:
40 hours per week, in-lab, typically Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
Occasional weekend availability may be required based on lab needs.
Research facility management 1-2 days per week.
