Braman Termite & Pest Elimination is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our team.

This is more than a traditional pest control technician position. You’ll use your field experience to train and support Route Technicians, reinforce quality standards, assist with audits, help resolve challenging pest problems, and ensure our customers receive exceptional service.

About the Position

The Quality Assurance Technician works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to help ensure Route Technicians consistently deliver safe, effective, and high-quality pest management services.

You’ll spend your time in the field working with technicians, customers, and management while helping maintain Braman’s standards for service quality, safety, customer service, and professionalism.

What You’ll Do

Training & Technician Support

  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager with training Route Technicians.
  • Provide hands-on coaching in pest inspection and treatment practices.
  • Assist with training and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Communicate process updates, policy changes, and company information to assigned Route Technicians.
  • Help technicians develop their technical, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Assist technicians with challenging service situations and problem resolution.

Quality Assurance

  • Assist with required Quality Audits and Audit Preparation each quarter.
  • Assist with field observations and evaluations of service quality.
  • Help ensure technicians follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Support standards for quality of work, customer retention, safety compliance, vehicle care, and sales.

Pest Management & Field Services

  • Inspect properties and identify pest activity, harborage, entry points, and conducive conditions.
  • Determine the causes of pest problems.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective actions using approved products and practices.
  • Consider both chemical and non-chemical solutions with an emphasis on safety.
  • Recommend sanitation and structural improvements that may reduce pest activity.
  • Assist with new account setups and cleanouts.
  • Assist with escalated pest and customer issues.

Customer Service

  • Communicate professionally with customers and clients.
  • Explain pest problems and recommended solutions.
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns.
  • Take responsibility for helping resolve customer issues.
  • Look for opportunities to exceed customer expectations while balancing customer needs with business requirements.

Sales & Service Growth

  • Follow up promptly with prospective customers when assigned.
  • Recommend additional company products and services when appropriate.
  • Sell company services when opportunities arise.
  • Refer larger opportunities to the appropriate sales department.

Safety & Professionalism

  • Put safety first when operating company vehicles and performing pest control services.
  • Follow company procedures, manufacturer instructions, customer requirements, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Maintain required tools, equipment, materials, and documentation.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean and properly equipped company vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate and complete service records and documentation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and company uniform.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous professional pest control experience
  • Experience performing pest inspections and treatments
  • Residential and commercial pest management experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of pest management practices
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to coach and support other technicians
  • A commitment to safety and quality
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and service needs

Education & Licensing

Education:
High school diploma or GED required.

Licensing:

  • Massachusetts Commercial Applicator (Core) License, depending on state of employment
  • Valid driver’s license with minimal moving violations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required state pest control certifications

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position. The Quality Assurance Technician will regularly work at customer locations and may encounter varying weather and environmental conditions.

The position requires the ability to:

  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces
  • Perform detailed pest inspections
  • Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Work around fumes, airborne particles, pest control products, and chemicals
  • Wear required personal protective equipment
  • Safely operate a company vehicle and travel between customer locations
