Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and execute periodic and risk-based QA reviews across core AML/CTF compliance functions, including onboarding, ongoing monitoring, transaction monitoring alert handling, and sanctions screening;
- Assess whether operational processes are carried out in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements;
- Test the effectiveness of implemented controls and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or deviations from established standards;
- Document QA review findings in a clear, structured, and auditable manner;
- Prepare QA reports for the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Management Board, summarizing review scope, methodology, key findings, and recommended remediation actions;
- Track and monitor the implementation of remediation actions arising from QA reviews, internal audits, regulatory inspections, and supervisory recommendations;
- Collaborate with the AML/CTF Compliance Officer and operational functions to develop and refine internal procedures, work instructions, and quality standards based on QA review outcomes;
- Propose and support the implementation of process improvements to address identified deficiencies and strengthen the overall AML/CTF framework;
- Identify training needs arising from QA review findings and communicate these to the compliance team.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in law, finance, economics, or a related field;
- Knowledge of the Lithuanian and EU regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes;
- Knowledge of the applicable laws, regulations and international institutions‘ guidelines establishing requirements for AML/CTF area;
- Familiarity with KYC/CDD review processes, transaction monitoring systems, and sanctions screening procedures;
- Experience in a compliance, audit, QA, or risk management role within a financial institution, preferably an electronic money institution;
- Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes of deficiencies and recommend practical remediation measures;
- Written communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured QA reports and findings documentation;
- Ability to work independently, manage review workloads, and deliver to agreed timelines;
- Fluency in Lithuanian and English;
- An ability to work independently and prioritize work effectively.
