Temporary QC Technical Specialist – 3-Week Contract
Pay Rate: $33–$35 per hour
Location: San Jose, CA
We are currently hiring for a short-term contract role supporting our Quality team. If you’re an experienced quality control professional with a strong eye for detail and a solid background in regulatory compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
Position Summary:
This is a three-week assignment requiring hands-on inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing setting. The QC Technical Specialist will be responsible for examining raw materials, monitoring in-process assemblies, and verifying final product quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold our internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Primary Duties:
Conduct detailed inspections—visual, dimensional, and functional—on parts and final assemblies using tools like calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators.
Perform checks throughout all quality stages: incoming (IQC), in-process, and final inspections.
Assist in the development and revision of quality procedures and inspection documentation.
Verify batch records (LHRs, DHRs) and sterilization logs for GDP compliance and completeness.
Identify and document product deviations; assist in non-conformance investigations and resolutions.
Ensure all inspection tools and gauges are properly maintained and calibrated.
Help with cleanroom monitoring activities and review of related data.
Partner with engineers to identify and implement improvements in inspection practices.
Provide training support for incoming QC personnel when needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Associate degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
At least three years of quality control experience in the medical device industry.
Familiarity with QSR, ISO 13485, GMP, and GDP standards.
Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Skilled in using standard measurement and inspection tools.
Comfortable with basic computer tasks; familiarity with eQMS and ePLM is advantageous.
Clear communicator with strong organizational abilities and the drive to work independently
