Position Summary
Inspects rubber products made in manufacturing. Responsible for inspection of products by checking parts on the line as well as inspecting products in the inspection department.
Responsibilities
Responsible for inspecting samples and parts coming off the grinding and cutting lines if out of spec, the inspector works with the machine operation and leader to have the parts stop and fixed.
Inspected parts will be either passed or rejected, tagged, segregated and Leaders will be notified of issue.
Visual inspect part for quality defects
Perform final audits on completed parts prior to shipping.
Knowledge on using O.D. and I.D gauges.
Be familiar with micrometers, digamatics, snap gauges, and durometers.
Performs final audits on parts prior to shipping.
Records acceptance and rejected records on parts
Works with the quality department as a resource
Maintains a clean and effective work area
Uses other equipment within the inspection department.
Record status of rejected or accepted parts for produciton needs
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED one to three years of related inspection experience desired.
Demonstrates good attendance history
Can read and understand standard work instructions
Be able to record status of parts whether rejected or accepted
Good communication skills with other inspectors, with line operators and with leaders.
Must be able to do basic math.
Closing Statement
This position is considered weekly hourly paid, scheduled from am-pm with overtime when necessary.
