Quality Assurance Team Lead III Jobs in Toano, VA at AVID
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all windows and doors manufactured meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting products at various stages of the production process, performing tests, identifying non-conformities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifications and Responsibilities:
Perform water/pressure testing on completed units
Follow all work and safety rules
Solve problems within production lines to reduce bottlenecks, repairs, and constraints
Work closely with manufacturing personnel, quality personnel, Industrial and Product Engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives
Perform end of the line and in-process audits to support product/process improvements
Answer questions about employee quality issues
Display self-motivation and cooperation
Anticipate upcoming events and plan accordingly
Assist in training employees on the line operations to ensure a quality product
Keep the area clean and report any equipment maintenance needs.
Work on the production line when needed
Ability to stand for long periods and walk through the manufacturing facility
Frequent lifting, bending, and use of hands for detailed inspection work
Exposure to typical manufacturing environments (noise, dust, temperature changes)
Skills/Requirements:
Read orders and spec sheets
Measure accurately with tape measure, micrometer, and gauges
Be self-motivated, cooperative, and committed to Group Leaders and Supervisors
Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job
Knowledge of MS Office Products
Communication and teaching skills will be considered a plus
Previous quality experience preferred
