About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Tester to join our team remotely within the United States. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity, quality, and functionality of our advanced software systems developed for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, extensive experience in software testing, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a remote, dynamic team environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive testing procedures, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of mission-critical software solutions that support veterans’ benefits and services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in software testing or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of VA software methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required)
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate software functionality
- Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools and methodologies
- Collaborate with developers and project teams to ensure software quality and timely resolution of issues
- Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and prevent regressions
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency
- Analyze test results, provide detailed feedback, and recommend improvements
- Stay current with emerging testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices to continually improve testing processes
