Job Description
Title:Quality Assurance Inspector and Tester
Reports to: Associate Manager, Quality Assurance
Overview: The Quality Assurance Inspector and Tester is responsible for inspecting and performing required inspections and assisting with testing on new and current David Yurman products.
Responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for assisting with inspections for First productions and audits.
Assist with conducting in-house testing of jewelry, materials & packaging (training will be provided).
Assist with preparing samples to be sent to an outside lab to conduct testing.
Assist in creating reports for in-house testing and distribute reports to the Product Development team.
Ensure all testing equipment and tools are calibrated and well maintained.
Conduct XRF test and diamond test.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of jewelry inspection experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint is a must.
Must be a team player and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and written communication skills.
Attention to detail, capable of drawing conclusions through the analysis of information, and ability to work independently on long-term and short-term projects.
Working knowledge of PLM & Oracle is a plus.
Familiarity with jewelry manufacturing and product development is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
