Title: Quality Control Inspector
Company: Curv Group
Location: Dongguan, Guangdong, China
QC Inspector | Dongguan, China (Hybrid)
About STATIK
STATIK is a fast-growing consumer electronics brand built around innovative charging and cable technology. With millions of units sold worldwide, STATIK products are trusted by customers across DTC, Amazon, and major retail channels in North America, Europe, and beyond.
STATIK moves fast, launches frequently, and holds itself to a high product standard. We don't just ship products — we build things people genuinely love using.
Quality is embedded in how we operate, not bolted on at the end. If you take pride in making sure nothing subpar leaves the factory floor, you'll fit right in.
Position Summary
The QC Inspector is STATIK's eyes on the ground in China.
You will own the inspection process end-to-end — attending factory visits, running functional and operational tests on consumer electronics products, and ensuring everything that ships meets our quality standards.
You'll work closely with a US-based product and engineering team, reporting findings clearly and acting independently when it counts.
This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who knows what good looks like, isn't afraid to push back when it doesn't, and takes genuine pride in the work.
Key Responsibilities
Factory Inspection & On-Site Execution
- Conduct pre-delivery, in-line, and final inspections at factory locations across the Guangdong region, ensuring products meet STATIK quality benchmarks before shipment.
- Verify product and packaging against approved specifications, including dimensions, workmanship, accessories, labeling, and barcode accuracy.
- Apply AQL sampling standards to evaluate defect rates and make accept/reject decisions based on defined quality thresholds.
- Communicate directly with factory teams to clarify standards, request corrections, and confirm that issues from previous inspections have been resolved.
- Document inspection findings thoroughly, including photos, and file reports in the team's shared systems in a timely manner.
Product & Functional Testing
- Perform functional and operational testing on consumer electronics products — including cables, chargers, power banks, car mounts, and tracking devices.
- Verify products meet electrical performance, charging capability, and connectivity requirements based on product-specific test standards.
- Test special product features relevant to the STATIK line, including magnetic coiling behavior, charging protocols, and tracker functionality.
- Escalate test failures or anomalies promptly with clear supporting documentation.
Quality Standards & Spec Compliance
- Maintain and manage Golden Samples as the reference benchmark for inspections.
- Identify and flag deviations from approved spec sheets, Golden Samples, or packaging requirements before shipment release.
- Stay current on product updates, new SKUs, and packaging changes to ensure inspections reflect the latest standards.
Reporting & Cross-Team Communication
- Produce structured inspection reports after each factory visit and share findings with the QC Supervisor and relevant US-based stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions across team systems (Google Drive, Asana, QC database).
- Communicate professionally in English with a distributed international team while maintaining overlap with US business hours.
Defect Management & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate root causes of product defects and partner with factory teams on corrective actions.
- Track recurring issues across inspection cycles and escalate trends when necessary.
- Contribute to improving QC processes, reporting standards, and inspection checklists as products evolve.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on QC inspection experience in consumer electronics, cables, chargers, or related hardware products.
- Strong knowledge of AQL inspection standards and factory application.
- Experience performing electrical and functional testing on charging products using industry-standard tools (PD power testers, GaN chargers, resistance meters).
- Ability to execute against spec sheets, Golden Samples, and technical QC checklists.
- Strong written and verbal English skills with the ability to independently communicate with US-based teams.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets).
- Based in or willing to relocate to Dongguan, with the ability to travel regularly throughout the Guangdong Pearl River Delta region (Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and surrounding areas).
- Detail-oriented and confident enough to reject shipments or escalate non-compliance issues independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in DVT, NPI, or compliance certification processes (CE, RoHS, FCC, or similar).
- Experience working with US or international teams across time zones.
- Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, TS16949, PMP, or SCMP.
- Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools.
- Experience with electrical testing and magnetic product testing.
- Experience with USB cables (USB-A, USB-C, Lightning), power banks, wall chargers, car mounts, and Bluetooth trackers.

- Clear and structured communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive mindset

- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Hybrid role based in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, China
