Job Overview
A midwestern company specializing in the design and mfg of pressure vessels and heat exchangers is looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to eventually heads its Quality Control dept. prior experience in the review of design of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, in accordance with ASME code stamp is required. Prior experience with inspection type tasks (NDE coordination, Post Weld Heat Treat arrangements, and general inspection is required.
Responsibilities:
Conduct review of design calculations to insure compliance per ASME code, and client specifications.
Generate inspection hold points for ASME and or client inpectors..
Submit drawings / calculation package for approval to the clients.
Interact with sales, Engineering, & purchasing to insure compliance.
