Quality Control Inspector – 2nd shift Jobs in Eastanollee, GA at Sark Wire Corporation
2nd Shift – 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Pay: $19.95 per hour
Sark Wire is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and dependable Quality Control Inspector to join our team and help ensure our products consistently meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Collect samples from finished products and perform chemical and laboratory testing in accordance with customer specifications.
· Enter and maintain accurate test results in SAP.
· Communicate and coordinate with operators and engineers regarding product deficiencies and quality concerns.
· Perform corrective action studies and assist with identifying root causes of quality issues, as needed.
· Conduct chemical analysis of the electroplating line.
· Perform visual inspections of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
· Maintain general housekeeping within the Quality Control areas
· Monitor laboratory equipment calibration requirements and follow up on scheduled calibrations; notify managers of upcoming or overdue calibration requirements.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Ability to use and comprehend Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
· Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
· Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Ability to safely and successfully operate a forklift, micrometer, and calipers.
· Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment and follow established quality, safety, and operating procedures.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is generally loud. The employee regularly works with toxic or caustic chemicals and may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and in high or precarious locations. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be properly used in accordance with company safety requirements.
Physical Demands:
· Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, use hands, talk, and hear.
· Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
· Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Team-lift procedures will be used for any object weighing more than 50 pounds.
· Must have the visual ability to clearly see objects at distances of 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
· Must have the ability to observe an area above, below, and to the left or right while maintaining visual focus on a given point.
· Must have three-dimensional vision and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
· Must be able to adjust focus to bring objects into sharp focus and distinguish colors as required for quality inspection and testing.
