JOB OVERVIEW
The Finished Goods Inspector plays a crucial role in supporting the QA department by ensuring the quality and proper disposition of finished goods, as well as non-conforming and suspect parts. This position involves final inspections, reporting non-conformances, and participating in continuous improvement activities to uphold the highest quality standards
DUTIES
Conduct thorough final inspections on all manufactured parts, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Confirm all parts are correctly packed and organized on skids.
Identify and report non-conforming partst the shift supervisor and generate notices of non conformance for defective materials.
Guide rework personnel in the re-inspection of reworked parts, ensuring clarity on required actions.
Maintain and update final inspection files accurately.
Perform dock audits as requested by QA Manager or Leadership.
Oversee the daily, weekly, or monthly calibration schedules for all gauges and test equipment utilized in the inspection process.
Assist in conducting yearly Gage R&R studies in all gauges as directed.
Engage in problem solving activities, including 8D reports, corrective action plans, and Quality Operating System initiatives.
Occasionally inspect parts on the production line for immediate shipment when required.
Adhere to guidelines reporting hazards/violations immediately.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Competency in using measuring tools such as calipers and rulers.
Basic blueprint reading skills.
Strong safety apptitude and standards.
Team player
Effective Communication skills
Some experience preffered
Strong problem-solving skills.
Understanding of IATF 16949, EMS and Quality Managment Systems Awareness requirements pertaining to the role.
Basic literacy in MRP Systems
Knowledge of industry standards relating to quality and safety regulations.
GED or High School Diploma
Basic Math, Reading Skills and Mechanical Aptitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 – $15.50 per hour
