As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Specialist who is passionate about technology and understands how restaurants and retail businesses operate.
Position Overview
The Quality Control (QC) Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of our POS platform, hardware, and software before new releases reach our customers.
This is not a traditional software QA role. We are looking for someone with previous hands-on experience in the POS industry who understands both the technical and operational side of restaurants and retail. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Product, Development, Support, and Implementation teams to test new features, validate hardware, reproduce reported issues, and ensure every release meets the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and validate POS hardware including POS terminals, payment devices,
- kiosks, handhelds, customer displays, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS),receipt printers, barcode scanners, and cash drawers.
- Perform comprehensive software testing for new releases, enhancements, bug fixes,
- and feature updates.
- Validate payment processing, loyalty, gift cards, memberships, inventory
- management, online ordering, reporting, employee permissions, and other core POS functionality.
- Test complete restaurant workflows including dine-in, QSR, table service, kitchen operations, online ordering, delivery, catering, tipping, and end-of-day procedures.
- Test retail workflows including barcode scanning, inventory control, purchase orders, receiving inventory, promotions, returns, exchanges, customer accounts, and multi-location operations.
- Reproduce software defects, document bugs with detailed reproduction steps, verify bug fixes, and maintain quality assurance documentation.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and technical support teams to improve product quality and user experience.
- Assist with regression testing, release validation, hardware compatibility testing, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control
- (QC), POS implementation, POS technical support, or a related field.
- Previous hands-on experience working with restaurant or retail POS systems.
- Strong understanding of restaurant and retail business operations and workflows.
- Experience testing integrated hardware and software solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
