Position Summary
The Quality Control Specialist will serve as the primary QC representative within a GMP- and FDA-regulated manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for independently executing, documenting, and maintaining all QC activities to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and inspection readiness. The role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Batch record review and approval for product release in accordance with GMP requirements
- In-process and finished product testing following established specifications and sampling plans
- Deviation, OOS, and nonconformance documentation, including initial investigations and coordination with cross-functional teams
- CAPA support through participation in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Ownership of GMP documentation, including QC logs, controlled forms, and audit-ready records
- Oversight and coordination of equipment calibration and verification activities
- Development, revision, and maintenance of QC procedures, testing protocols, and documentation systems
- Support of internal, customer, and regulatory audits through preparation of QC records and demonstration of compliance practices
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of Quality Control experience in a GMP/FDA-regulated manufacturing environment
- Comprehensive understanding of 21 CFR 210/211, data integrity principles, and controlled documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make informed QC decisions
- Proficiency in QC testing methodologies, sampling techniques, and specification-based evaluations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, compliant documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting FDA inspections or customer audits
- Background in chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or OTC manufacturing
Experience establishing or refining QC processes in a manufacturing environment
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
