QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER (Must have a four year degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, No relocation available)

The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for helping in the planning and directing the quality assurance policies, programs and initiatives of the Company. The Engineer also monitors and maintains the quality control system and works with management to complete the ISO 9001 and NADCAP audits throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, monitor and continuously update the Quality Management Systems in line with ISO 9001:2015 and NADCAP.
  • Conduct audits both internal and external, to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
  • Participate in the ISO and NADCAP certification processes and maintain documentation and records to support certification and compliance efforts
  • Analyze data to identify trends and drive process improvements
  • Monitor internal repair processes and maintain history of repairs
  • Oversee and update the RMA process and report on trends
  • Lead Corrective Action process
  • Oversee and develop the changes needed to improve our plating processes.
  • Oversee the quality of products to ensure they meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate the Quality Management System into the overall business strategy
  • Communicate effectively with management, and staff regarding quality issues and initiatives
  • Assist with the development of new processes (repair, RMA, inspection, etc.) as new products are developed

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with Solidworks
  • Experience in managing quality manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships
  • Hands on, take the lead mentality
  • Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, etc.) and basic hand tools

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
