For our client we are looking for a QA Engineer to join one of their projects in Limassol, Cyprus, focused on building digital solutions for the commercial side of the shipping industry.
Industry: Maritime Tech / Bunker Trading / SaaS / Digital Procurement
Location: Cyprus preferred.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Limassol with the flexibility to work remotely on certain occasions. The QA Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive quality assurance processes to ensure software products meet high standards. Day-to-day tasks include writing, and executing detailed test cases, performing manual testing, monitoring software performance, and collaborating with development teams to address and resolve quality issues effectively.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test complex business logic, including financial calculations, transactions, and role-based models, beyond UI-level testing.
- Validate data using SQL, test REST APIs with Postman, and analyze server logs to localize and diagnose issues.
- Act as a technical partner to developers, helping identify root causes across backend and frontend components.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to clarify requirements, business logic, and task priorities.
- Propose architectural and process improvements and drive quality-focused initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of QA experience, preferably in Fintech, B2B SaaS, or products with complex business logic.
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills, including basic to intermediate SQL knowledge (joins, data integrity checks, grouping), and proficiency in API testing (e.g., Postman).
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive improvements.
- Adaptability and willingness to work in new domains or unfamiliar areas.
- Fluent in English & Russian.
- Be able to work from the office two days a week (every Monday and Thursday).
