Description: Quality Manager
Winslow Automatics Inc., is a contract manufacturer providing custom metal fabrication services which has been serving the aerospace, commercial, and medical industries since 1956. We are a respected aerospace and aircraft parts equipment manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for CNC milling and turning as a contract manufacturer and job shop producing quality machined products. Daily Duties:
Providing professional written communications with applications, project engineering and/or customer in order to clarify requirements.
Collaborating with Engineers to ensure that QC and manufacturing requirements align.
Identifying and submitting required documentation for customer review.
Manage processes, coordinating with all departments and functions to make revisions as necessary to assure conformance to purchase order and blueprint requirements.
Utilizing continuous improvement techniques and serving on teams for problem resolutions and cost reductions. Participating in non-conformance reviews, corrective actions and continuous improvement and making recommendations to satisfy customers.
Ensure that all Quality system documentation is created, controlled and archived in accordance with the Quality System.
Support Management Team to promote Quality Culture. Support Engineering, and Manufacturing to initiate improvements.
Perform any other associated duties as directed by management.
Preferred qualifications for the position include: (compensation based on qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Quality Engineering with minimum of 3 yrs. years of experience in an Aerospace Quality Control environment preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production equipment.
Quality Assurance experience of 3-5 years.
ASQ CQE certification preferred.
LCS certification preferred.
Holds Pratt &Whitney, GE stamps.
Knowledge of standard quality practices, ex. FMEA’s, SPC, DOE, etc.
Solid working knowledge of PPAP processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge in Audits, Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Supplier Quality, Process Design and Control
Knowledge of quantitative Tools and Methods.
Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
Utilize inspection and test equipment [caliper, micrometer, comparator, tool microscope, etc.
