Quality Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team at our Plymouth, MI location. The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured by Skyway meet all internal and external requirements.

Required Experience:
Ability to work unsupervised.
Conduct 1st piece and in-process inspection.
Generate dimensional and inspection documentation results and have the ability to determine compliance to Skyway and/or Customer requirements.
Part setup and execute CMM programs to measure machined and cast products.
Basic understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading and Skyway and Customer Quality and Engineering standards.
Email end of shift reports and issues found during the shift as required.
Basic use and maintenance of hand-held and attribute gauges.
Ability to track gauges and maintain calibration records.
Perform production receiving inspection, layer checks, line inspections, STP, final audits, and final shipping dock inspections as necessary.
Perform layer process audits as scheduled.
Support compliance with Skyway Precision, Inc.’s Quality policies and procedures (IATF
16949 & ISO
14001).
Follow general safety rules and Company policies and procedures.
Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Perform special assignments as delegated.
General Requirements
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Manufacturing or Quality field.
