The Automation Engineer Sr is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Intelligent Automation and AI solutions. The Engineer will partner with other technology professionals and business users to deliver valuable outcomes, solutions, and advancements to meet the business plan. This position is expected to provide technical and thought leadership, and mentor junior level technology professionals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate within the Automation center of excellence, following Robotic Process Automation (RPA) best practices and preparing for AI advancements
Lead the development and implementation of UiPath automation solutions
Provide technical and thought leadership to Technology and business leaders
Remain current and updated on automation technology trends
Partner with business SMEs, Analysts, and Process Architects to identify optimization and automation opportunities within the business
Provide direction and oversight to offshore teams ensuring project alignment
Maintain high-quality, scalable RPA automations and AI solutions
Offer production support by troubleshooting issues efficiently and effectively
Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative environment
Promote and utilize agile principles within the team
Ensure compliance with coding, testing, and deployment best practices
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
10+ years of technology experience, preferably in financial services
7+ years’ experience of automation/workflow
Expertise in developing UiPath automation solutions
Proficient understanding of AI engineering concepts, including LLMs and machine learning
Excellent communication and understanding of banking processes
Experience with SQL, .NET or Java, APIs, HTML, XML, JSON, Azure DevOps, Cloud
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes
Advanced production support skills
Experience mentoring Developers and directing offshore teams
Proven track record in Agile principles, DevOps, and SDLC methodologies
Strong commitment to continuous process improvement
Adherence to industry best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
