SUMMARY
Hoshizaki Inspectors, along with all other employees, are responsible to protect customers and the Hoshizaki brand. Under limited supervision, Inspectors provide confidence that our products will fulfill quality requirements by performing visual, mechanical, functional, dimensional, or electrical inspection of a variety of products in the production assembly process through final system assembly. Inspectors use technology to test, communicate, and store information using tablets, computers, or other devices. Inspectors communicate with the appropriate staff to help contain and prevent nonconforming product from escaping our process.

Predetermined qty of Safety Observations
Predetermined qty of periodic maintenance tasks
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follows established procedures and guidelines to check, test, and inspect raw materials, subassemblies, and finished goods for functionality, damages, and/or missing parts.
Reads and interprets drawings and specifications to verify dimensions of parts or material.
Determines product or material acceptability and recommends re-work and containment actions.
Participates in Quality Circle Communication to encourage defect prevention and detection.
Collaborates with other departments to resolve quality problems on the production floor. Identifies and assists with process improvement measures.
Completes and maintains quality documentation and problem resolution logs.
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies and procedures, including all safety guidelines.
Able to use defect reporting system to notify and store defect information.
Able to use Dynamics, Windchill and Microsoft office products to:
Look up Engineering drawings
Look up BOM’s
Enter and review test data
Communicate with e-mail
Send defect information
Use spreadsheets to assist in re-works and inspections
Edit and review change history log and other data as needed to determine product acceptance
Use checklists
1st Piece Inspection
Last Piece Check
Critical Process
Packaging
Sheet Metal
Accessory Kit (PTC/Griffin specific)
Requirements:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED and two years of quality or inspection experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Ability to accurately document inspection results.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Working knowledge of a variety of measurement equipment such as calipers, meters, measuring scales, test stations, etc.
Working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, specification interpretation, and quality control terminology.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ability to read, update, and maintain various records and files.
