Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Quality Manager to join our dynamic team. Calhoun is growing rapidly and needs energetic, ambitious people to help us grow.
Responsibilities:
Quality Control Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for construction projects. Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate quality control procedures into project plans.
Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure compliance with project specs and quality standards. Perform audits of construction processes, materials, and workmanship to identify and address potential issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspections, tests, and corrective actions taken. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports outlining quality control findings, recommendations, and status updates.
Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to address and resolve quality-related issues promptly. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they adhere to quality control requirements.
Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions to educate project teams on quality control processes and standards. Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about industry regulations, codes, and standards relevant to construction quality control. Ensure that projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management, or equivalent work experience
Five (5) or more years of proven experience in construction quality control management
In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices
Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse project teams
Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or similar are a plus
Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
