Job Overview
This role is a key member of the Quality Assurance team, interfacing with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production teams. You will ensure that materials and products received from suppliers conform to all specifications.
Responsibilities
Inspect incoming purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance using precision measuring devices.
Perform first article inspections on lots received as directed by the Quality Manager.
Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration is up to date.
Identify nonconforming products and ensure quarantine procedures are followed.
Assist with management of NCRs slated for Return to Vendor (RTV).
Move items to designated locations once released to production, involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
Develop and improve quality systems related to incoming inspections.
Keep accurate records of received and inspected items and products to be returned to vendors.
Requirements
Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to operate powered hand trucks and/or pallet jacks.
Ability to read blueprints and understand measurements and tolerances.
Minimum 6 months experience in quality inspections and use of measurement tools.
Experience in receiving, warehousing, packing, or production for at least 6 months.
Knowledge of metal and fabricated components.
Skilled in using calibrated measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Familiarity with computer-aided measurement tools like CMM.
Strong time management and attention to detail skills.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment, partially outdoors and non-climate-controlled.
Some lifting up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for 10 hours per day.
Hours & Pay
6:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, with some overtime on Fridays. Pay rate is $19.00/hour.
