MWS Wire Industries was founded in 1968 as a manufacturer of insulated and bare wire for customers in aerospace, defense and electronics industries. In the nearly five decades since its founding, the company has expanded into wire manufacturing for medical devices, automotive, musical instruments, sensors and consumer electronics, in addition to the original markets for magnet wire and special electrical conductors. In Nov 2020, MWS moved to a brand new facility in Oxnard, CA and are looking to grow with our fantastic employee base.
We have an immediate opening for a full-time Quality Assurance Inspector. The ideal candidate will be a detailed oriented professional and will support the following tasks:
The Quality Assurance Inspector is part of the Quality Assurance Department and an integral part of the manufacturing process. The Inspector tests and verifies product quality for materials from internal and external sources by performing various electrical and mechanical inspections to determine product suitability based on customer specifications or standards. Since the manufactured products are made for various high profile industries and applications, this position is dynamic and challenging with good growth opportunities. Quality is an essential part of the MWS success story, so MWS is committed to welcoming and training strong candidates. MWS is both ISO 9001 and 13485 certified. Pervious experience in an ISO environment is important.
The Quality Assurance Inspector reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
SCHEDULE: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (flexibility)
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Good math skills. Logical/critical thinking important
2. Technical interest (ideally electrical) and detailed oriented
3. Team player with a commitment to performance
EQUIPMENT USED:
1. Electrical, mechanical and electronic test equipment, solder pots and thermal testing ovens
2. Lab equipment including microscopes, computers, cross-sectioning equipment, calculators and micrometers
3. ISO 9001 and 13485

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
